How It Works

The Product

Your wedding website is not only the first experience your guests will have, it’s the guide that accompanies them from beginning to end. Let’s make it amazing.

Wonderful Words websites can do it all, from invites to RSVPs, so you don’t have to. They share all of the details and logistics (for both guests and vendors!) in one easily accessible place through storytelling that’s anything but boring. Fueled by a decade of travel journalism, Wonderful Words sites also serve as bespoke travel guides that ensure everyone—but especially out-of-town guests and especially for destination weddings—have the time of their lives with all best places to stay, things to do, and restaurants to try at their finger tips.

The best part? Guests love it. With a Wonderful Words site, your guests will be talking about your wedding for years to come.

The Process

Step 1: Discovery 🔍

It all starts with a video call. I’ll guide you through a relaxed and easy conversation about everything from how you met to what your vision is for the big day. I’ll make sure we cover every necessary detail—the ones you’ve thought of already and those you haven’t, plus all the unique elements that make your love special and your wedding distinct.

Step 2: Research & Storytelling ✍

Next, do my research to uncover the best your wedding location and venue have to offer. Then, I get to writing. Doing what all good nonfiction writers do, I decide what to include and what to leave out in order to best serve the story and the event. I sprinkle descriptive details in all the right places to craft writing that’s vibrant and engaging, anything but overwhelming, and a perfect reflection of your wedding’s ~ vibe ~.

Step 3: Revisions 💬

You’ll let me know what you think of the first draft. Don’t worry, I won’t just throw you into the deep end. Your draft will come with guidance on how to evaluate it and tips for crafting actionable feedback, too. This is when most people remember something else to add or decide the wanna take something else out, which is great! That’s the power of the first draft—sometimes it’s easier to figure out what you want to say (or not!) once you have something to react to.

Step 4: Delivery 🎁

Most people only need one or two rounds of revisions, but we’ll go through as many as you need to get to the wedding website of your dreams. Once we’ve gotten there, your website will be published and ready to wow your guests. Yay! Delivery also includes a video of your wedding website, so even once it’s no longer live, the keepsake remains.

The Investment

The prices below reflect the most common approach of meeting with both partners to develop a wedding website, but the possibilities are endless. Let me know what you’re dreaming up and I’ll get you a quote.

But in general, here’s what you can expect to invest in a wedding website that does it all: $599 for an off-the-shelf site like Zola or The Knot or $995 plus hosting for a custom Squarespace site and domain name.
